How to prepare for medical school?

I'm currently a Sopre in college. This semester I switched my major from History to Biology. In high school I was active in interact club ( which was all volunteering/ helping the community) and I was the leader of the fundraising committee for the Renaissance Club (which planned events for honors students). I'm thinking about minoring in French and History to make myself a more "rounded" student. I'm also going to write on the school paper and try to volunteer at a hospital near my college. I'm shooting to keep my GPA at least a 3.8. My previous semester it was a 3.4 Is there anything else I can do to help get accepted into medical school?
