I interested with getting connected with my College Fraternity choice?

I am interested with becoming a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Some of my clmates are in the organization. I have mentioned my interest and some are not willing or givng me the right advice to begin process on the Graduate/Alumni Chapter. Need to explore connections to broaden skills to move in my profession.
