What about the word, Ghetto?
Ghetto was a term used to describe the poor Jewish communities of preWW2. I'm not sure if that is the origin of the word or not. The word has been made popular by black American culture. Clism is a part of life. Utopia isn't out there and although you sound like an intelligent person, most people are not going to strive for enlightenment or higher education that is either formal or self-taught so you will probably be a minority of sorts. I do not like clism either, but the last few governments that tried to deal with clism ended up as Socialist or Communist. Yes, clism is acceptable to me. We live in an ever evolving information age so clist language is somewhat the norm in American society. I try to speak English and I am not a big fan of slang terms, but i catch myself using such terms often. Remember this, folkways are not changed over night and clism is a reality.
