Is it true that God will accept you even if you have sinned before?

I was a non-believer, satanist, atheist again, agnostic, satanist again, made up a few religions, and now am beginning to believe in the One, God. I have sinned many other times in my life. I never prayed for forgiveness after sinning or religious blindness. How do I succeed to heaven?
