Should I make the first move?

heyy guys, im a girl, and i reallyy like thiss guy. everyone says i should go for him, and stuff, but its harder than it seems. like hes always with his friends, and i cant go up to him infront of his friends, but i wanna talk to him, but hes never aloneee, and like i wanna talk to him other than msn and fbb and shytt. :S how do i do it? also should i ask him outt? like maybe for lunch or something? but if he says yes, i dont know what to tlk to him abt :S
