I will not do your homework for you, Kate, but I will refer you to a book of "Lives Of The Composers". Every library has one. The Beethoven/Mozart battle for public adoration is quite heavily developed, I believe, in the Mozart biopic "Amadeus". Wikepedia and google should also be helpful. At least that will get you started on your own creative thinking.
